About Victorville
Victorville is one of the larger cities in San Bernardino County, with a population of around 134,000. It sits in the Mojave Desert along the Mojave River, with Interstate 15 running directly through the city and connecting it to Las Vegas to the north and the Inland Empire and Los Angeles to the south. The city grew quickly from the 1990s onward as buyers from the LA metro area sought more affordable housing, and the majority of its single-family homes date from that expansion period.
The historic core of the city runs along the old Route 66 corridor, where the California Route 66 Museum is a local landmark, and the Southern California Logistics Airport, built on the former George Air Force Base, is one of the area's largest employers. Most residential neighborhoods are single-family tract homes with stucco exteriors, concrete driveways, and desert landscaping. The newer subdivisions spread outward from the freeway corridor toward the city's edges.
Victorville is part of the larger High Desert region of San Bernardino County. Nearby Hesperia shares the same climate and similar housing stock, and we serve both cities regularly. If you are in the High Desert and want an insulation contractor who understands what the Mojave does to a home, we are available to come out and take a look.
